In Patuakhali, Char Bangla held a human chain of 320 landless family members, a protest march and a memorial letter presentation program to the District Commissioner under the banner of farmer labor solidarity to get the government special land settlement of Char Bangla Char in Patuakhali. At 10 a.m. today, Tuesday morning, a protest march took place in the city after the human chain was formed at Patuakhali Launchghat square The landless male and female members circled the road one kilometer at a time and went in front of the Jala Administrator’s office and finished the procession. Later, the leaders of solidarity presented a memorandum to the District Commissioner demanding the settlement of Khas land among the landless 320 families of Charbangla. Bangladesh Farmer-Labor Solidarity Central Committee President Dewan Abdur Rashid Nilu, Vice President SM Amjad Hossain, Member Rubina Yasmin, Galachipa Upazila Branch Farmer-Labor Solidarity Convener Md. Siraj Khan, Member Secretary Md. Shahabuddin Howladar, Sakibul spoke on the demand during the human chain. Islam Shafin, Salma Begum etc. At that time, Kandriya leader Dewan Abdur Rashid Nilu said that a class of influential Bhumi Chakras are planning to occupy Khas land by mapping fake practices. He sought the intervention of the district administration in this matter and demanded special land settlement in the name of the landless. More than two hundred landless women and men of Charbangla Char participated in the human chain and protest march.
