Human chain and rally were held in Rangpur demanding dengue symptoms and strong initiatives to prevent dengue. On the initiative of Red-Green Society Rangpur District Branch, an hour-long human chain program was held on the road in front of Rangpur Town Hall on Wednesday (August 09) morning. Later, members Meshbahul Hasan, Nahida Sultana, Yachin Ujjal, Sumaiya Akhtar, Deen Mohammad among others spoke in a gathering presided over by Red-Green Society Rangpur District Branch convener Tasnim Hasan. Speakers said, mosquito-borne dengue outbreaks are taking shape across the country. Currently, people are dying due to dengue fever almost every day in the country. Still, no awareness campaign or vigorous initiative is being taken to prevent dengue. The speakers demanded to take strong initiatives to prevent dongu on an urgent basis.
