An incident occurred in Brahmanbaria where the accused hit the police with a tea cup and ran away. Injured police officer SI (Deputy Inspector) Md. Saiful Islam needs at least 12 stitches on both sides of his head. A case has been filed in the police station.
The injured police officer Saiful Brahmanbaria is undergoing treatment at District Headquarters Hospital. However, the police could not arrest the mastermind Yashin Mia even after 20 hours of the incident. The police said that the operation to arrest him is continuing.
Confirming the truth of the incident, Brahmanbaria Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Emranul Islam said that there was an arrest warrant in the name of Yamin Miar, the accused in the robbery preparation case in North Maurail of the municipal area. On Wednesday evening, on the basis of tip-off, a raid was conducted at Jasim Mia’s tea shop in Bau-bazar area of Brahmanbaria railway station to catch Yashin. At that time Yashin saw the police officer who was drinking tea and ran away after hitting him with the cup of tea in his hand. Later the police and locals rescued him in bloody condition and brought him to Brahmanbaria District Headquarters Hospital. In this incident, the police have filed a case at the police station.
