Shafiqul Islam Laden was arrested along with 07 kg of heroin in a joint operation by RAB and BGB at Poladanga border in ChapainawabganjRAB. He was arrested in a joint operation in Jelepara village of Alatuli Union late on Thursday (April 13). The arrested is Shafiqul Islam Laden, son of deceased Abdur Razzaq (Tahsan) and Nurjahan Begum of Kodalkati village of Chapainawabganj Sadar Upazila Alatuli Union. According to the press note, under the direction of battalion commander Lt. Col. Riaz Shahriar, PSC, G, company commander Lt. Commander Ruh-fi-Tahmin Taukir and company deputy commander Assistant Superintendent of Police Aminul Islam have been arrested.
In a press briefing, Battalion Commander Lt. Col. Riaz Shahriar, PSC G said, Rajshahi CPC-1 Chapainawabganj RAB-5 and Battalion 53 BGB in collaboration with the Poladanga border patrol team based on RAB’s special intelligence information were kept behind the toilet tank of the house at the address of the above-mentioned accused. He was arrested with 07 kg 130 grams of heroin. All this information was informed in the pre-briefing that Shafiqul, who was arrested, has four drug cases in his name on charges of selling heroin. RAB has informed that the evidence has been handed over to the Sadar Model Police Station of Chapainawabganj district and a regular case is being filed.
