According to the new prices, the price of one bar of best quality or 22 carat gold has been reduced by Tk 1,283 to Tk 1,17,177. The price of a 21 carat gold bar has been reduced by Tk 1,236 to Tk 111,846. Apart from this, the price of 18 carat gold has been reduced by 1 thousand 62 taka to 95 thousand 866 taka.
The traditional gold price has been reduced by 875 taka to 79 thousand 257 taka. However, buyers have to pay more than this to buy gold jewellery. Because gold jewelery is sold by adding five per cent VAT on the Bajus fixed price. Also, minimum wages will be six percent per hour. The price of 21 carat gold was reduced by 1 thousand 27 taka to 1 lakh 13 thousand 82 taka. In addition, the price of 18 carat gold has been reduced by 875 taka to 96 thousand 928 taka. The price of one load of traditional gold was reduced by 735 taka to 80 thousand 132 taka. While the price of gold has been reduced, the price of silver has remained unchanged.
