Gazipur in Greater Chittagong Association’s Eid reunion held

Muhammad Atiqur Rahman, Gazipur District Correspondent: The Greater Chittagong Association-Gazipur organized an Eid reunion and scholarship distribution ceremony in Gazipur in a festive atmosphere.
Organized on Friday (April 17) at the Bangataj Auditorium in Rathkhola, Gazipur Town, the ceremony was attended by a large number of people from different areas of Chittagong living in Gazipur, including members of the association.
The day-long event included registration, general meeting, discussion, scholarship distribution and a pleasant cultural program.

The ceremony was presided over by Md. Sohel Sadat, Chairman and Founder of Shin Shin Group and President of the association.

The program, moderated by Alauddin Ahmed Russell and Education and Library Secretary Md. Nazim Hossain, was addressed by retired Senior District and Sessions Judge, former Information Commissioner, Information Commission Bangladesh, former Inspector General, Registration and Founder President and Chairman Advisor of the Association Shahidul Alam Jhinuk, Managing Director of Fashion Flash Limited and former President and Advisor of the Association Helal Uddin Ahmed, Vice President Noor-e-Yasmin Fatema, Vice President Prabir Kumar Saha, Vice President Anupam De Raju, Former General Secretary Dr. Faridul Alam, Engineer Lokman Hossain, Deputy General Secretary Mohammad Shahajahan, Member Secretary Ahmed Hossain, Finance Secretary Md. Shahnewaz Tanvir, among others. The Quran was recited by Abdullah Al Mamun, the Gita was recited by Joydeep Chowdhury, and the Tripitaka was recited by Shimul Barua.

The speakers present at the event said that such arrangements play an important role in strengthening the sense of brotherhood, unity and harmony among the people of Chittagong living in Gazipur district.

The event began with registration in the morning as per the scheduled program. Later, a general meeting and discussion were held. Lunch was served after the prayer break. Then, certificates, crests and scholarships were awarded to the meritorious students. A cultural program was held in the afternoon, which created great joy among the audience present.

The organizers said that such arrangements will continue in the future and through this, social welfare activities will be further strengthened.

It is worth noting that the Greater Chittagong Samity-Gazipur has been conducting various social and cultural activities for the welfare of the people of Chittagong living in Gazipur district since 2010.
