Central Command Council President Ahidul Islam Tushar wants freedom fighter quota to be followed in all private colleges including Notre Dame, Adamji and Vikarunnisa. Therefore, according to the Ministry of Education’s 11th Class Admission Policy-2024, following the 5% Freedom Fighter Quota from the current academic year, and following the circular or order of the Ministry of Education and Liberation War Affairs, to take necessary measures regarding the free study of the admitted Freedom Fighter Quota candidates, the following 15 private Notre Dame Colleges, Adamji are the best in the country.
Cantonment College, Dhaka Residential Model College, Vikarunnisa Noon School and College, Holy Cross College, St. Joseph Higher Secondary School, Rajuk Uttara Model College, Milestone College, Ideal College, Navy College, National Ideal College, Dhaka City College, BAF Shaheen College, Notre Dame College Mymensingh, Shaheed Syed Nazrul Islam College, Mymensingh wrote a letter on Thursday 23rd May 2024, “Child and Generation of Freedom Fighters, Central Command Council President Ahidul Islam Tushar”. He told reporters that in the current academic year, 15 private colleges have been notified by letter to follow the 5% freedom fighter quota and study free of charge in the current academic year and will be given to all educational institutions in stages. If the authorities have not properly followed the 5% freedom fighter quota and provided free study opportunities, then I will file a complaint against the institution in the Ministry of Education and apply for cancellation of registration. In response to another question, Ahidul Islam Tushar said that Article 3.2 of the 11th Class Admission Policy-2024 has properly mentioned the following of 5% freedom fighter quota in government and private colleges and the unilateral order of the Ministry of Education in 2005 and the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs in 2008/2023.
There is talk of % quota and free study but for a long time the private school and college authorities are reluctant to provide opportunities to freedom fighter families, they are far away from this culture. Ahidul Islam Tushar requested the freedom fighters of each district-upazila of the country to keep track of whether the 5% freedom fighter quota is being properly followed in class 11 from the current academic year and if there is any deviation, then the college principal along with the Honorable Minister of Education and State Minister of Education, Mr. He requested to file a written complaint against him. Reluctance to give benefits given by the state to the family members of the brave freedom fighters who took part in the great liberation war despite knowing their certain death is sad and I will file a written complaint against the educational institutions which are running without following the laws and regulations of the state, Mr. Ahidul Islam added Tushar.
