The king of crime world Mohammad Jahan Kabir, alias Shipon, was a very mischievous and looter. He was born in chauddagram, Cumilla. His father was a school teacher. Now, Shipon lives a luxurious life with his family in England. He would often commit theft on people’s domestic farms, and was caught red handed many times by villagers. Devoid of all ethics, he became obsessed with ill-money. Victims filled several GDs and cases against him. He fled abroad taking money of many potential migrants. Locals tried to hand this criminal to police.
After many years, on 6th December 2022, Shipon’s house was geared by villagers. But he eventually fled away to abroad. There are many allegations like deception, fraud and human trafficking against him.
The allegations raised by people from all categories include Gunoboti Union and other union parishad members, school- madrasa teachers, mosque imams, community police, doctors, lawyers and businessmen. The locals are very worried and displeased over Shipon’s deceptive activities. In the last 15 years, he visited his own village two or three times. But Shipon never stayed more than a week at home and in the locality.
Many victims made allegations against his elder sister Monjuara Begum and her other family members. Recently his brother Humayun is arrested for fraud case.
He made several immoral attempts to skip problems. According to sources, bearing Bangladeshi Passport no EK 192086, he spent around 15 years in different places with his family including London.
However, his crimes had not stopped. He often introduces himself as a student in the UK, sometimes a businessman, or an employee at grocery and coffee shops. Though he claimed as his own shop, but his name was absent in the paper. He claims to own a house on 22 Sidar Avenue in London, which is actually a rented house.
The original landlord was Nepalese descent Anil Gurung and Mrs. Xina Gurung. Shipan bought Land Rover Discovery under the name of Abdul Aleem Chowdhury (Abdullah). He made very insignificant transactions with his own account.
His withdrawal of money was higher than his deposit of money in the bank. He used debit/credit cards of other accounts. His credit record was too low. That is why he could not buy house or rent houses legally. He used other people’s name to live at a rented house on 22 Sidar Avenue Water Camberley, Post Code: GU170JF, which was actually rented by Dr Sharmin Farhana Choity.
Grabbing and claiming other’s assets and organisation as his own and showing himself as a successful businessman to newcomers is his regular deceptive plan. Not only he amassed thousands of pounds from his countrymen, he is using different techniques to grab money from people of India, Pakistan, China, Nepal, Venezuela and Romania residing in England. He is a renowned cheat and fraud. Upon talking on whatsApp to at least 20 people, it was found that he took away between 5 thousand pounds and 10 thousand pounds from different people. Many Bangladeshi living in London, due to the fear of European stringent banking regulations do not keep their money there. They usually keep their money to trustworthy people. He also used to buy products from different shops on credit. After buying from different vendors without paying, he often changed address. Since no organisation was registered under his name, he easily escaped punishment. And swindled money.
Shipon took away huge money for the wife of a Bangladeshi businessman who underwent cancer treatment. Shipon eventually left after locking the ailing wife of the businessman. He is now recognised as an international mafia and professional cheater. He is involved with other mafia groups as well. People from all quarters hate him. The victims are trying to get help from law enforcers. Now, he is under observation of national and international intelligence agency.
