A preparatory meeting was held at the institute auditorium on October 6, 2023 to mark the 60th anniversary of the Khulna Polytechnic Institute and its reunion. The convening committee was formed by electing businessman and entrepreneur engineer Mohibul Haque Masud as convener and Mohammad Ziaul Hasan Sheikh, assistant engineer of Capital Development Authority as member secretary.
In the meeting, it was unanimously decided to hold Khulna Polytechnic Institute’s 60th Anniversary and Reunion after the upcoming National Assembly Elections. A delightful cultural evening was enjoyed by all at the end of the program.
Khulna District Awami League Vice President Rafiqur Rahman Ripon presided over the meeting. Honorable councilor of Ward No. 15 former panel mayor Mr. Md. was present as the chief guest in the preparation meeting. Aminul Islam Munna.

More than four hundred former leaders and representatives were present till 2022.
