The fire at a gas lighter factory in the Kadamtali area of ​​​​Dhaka’s Keraniganj was brought under control after an hour and a half.
The fire was brought under control at 2:30 pm on Saturday with the efforts of seven units of the fire service, said the organization’s media officer Anwarul Islam.
Earlier, the fire service’s duty officer Rozina Akhter said that the fire was reported at around 1:15 pm.
Media officer Anwarul Islam said, “After receiving the news of the fire at the tin shed factory, three units of the fire service first joined the fire control. The units were gradually increased to seven.”
He could not immediately provide the extent of the damage.
