Mohammad Masud Majumder: The final phase and prize distribution of the quiz competition ‘Tex Quizard’ was held on Tuesday afternoon, organized by the Textile Club of International Standard University (ISU). Team The Chromatics emerged as the champion in the competition organized at the university’s Mohakhali campus and the runner-up was The Ultimate Quizar.
Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology of ISU and Chairperson of the Textile Engineering Department, Professor Md. Abul Kasem, presided over the event, while ISU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Abdul Awal Khan was present as the chief guest. During the event, Professor Dr. Abdul Awal Khan, Head of the ISU CSE Department, presented the following information: Md. Hakiqur Rahman, Proctor Naser Iqbal, Chairman of the Apparel Merchandising and Management Department Jaglul Haque Mridha, Moderator of the Textile Club Md. Hasibul Hasan, Former Moderator Musa Ali Reza, chairpersons of various departments, officers, teachers and students attended the event.
The speakers said that such quiz competitions go beyond the boundaries of textbooks and increase the confidence of the students, play an important role in developing creative thinking, analytical skills and teamwork mentality. Such an initiative to acquire knowledge in technical subjects like textile engineering with joy is highly commendable. The speakers welcomed this initiative of the Textile Club and called for continuing such events regularly on a larger scale in the future.
The members of the champion team The Chromatics are Tamanna Islam Badhan, Sumaiya Akhter, Shahriar Hossain. The members of the runner-up team The Ultimate Quizzer are Mujahid Majumder, Ifti Alam Chowdhury (Badhan), and Al Noman Sarkar.
