Popular actress Tasnia Farin won the Crystal Simorg Award at Iran’s traditional Fajr International Film Festival. He received this award in the Outstanding Artistic Contribution category in recognition of his impeccable performance in the movie ‘Fatima’. Farin himself told this news in his Facebook post. However, Farin was not present during the awarding ceremony.
The film’s director Dhruv Hassan accepted the award on his behalf. Describing this, Fareen wrote, ‘Thank you to the 42nd Fajr Film Festival for honoring me with the Crystal Simorg Award in the Eastern Vista category for my film Fatima. I wanted to receive the award in my own hands from one more day, but I could not stay. Farin also writes, “But director Dhruv Hasan Bhaiya took the award on my behalf. It was truly a dream moment.’ Farin’s film was screened in the festival’s Eastern Vista section on the afternoon of February 8. Movies from Asian-Islamic countries competed in this category. ‘Situation of Mahdi’ has been selected as the best film at this year’s Fajr Film Festival. It was built by Hadi Hejazi Far. Besides, Reza Mir Karimi won the best director award for the movie ‘Night Guard’. Tannaz Tabatabayi won the best actress award.

At the beginning of his career, Fareen acted in a full-length film called Fatima. The story of this movie directed by Dhruv Hassan revolves around the challenges of a woman during the 1971 Liberation War.
