An exchange meeting was held with the student society of various universities, colleges and schools in Barura of Comilla like the upazila administration.
On Friday 9th August at 12 noon under the leadership of Mubaswiruzzaman Hasan, the central coordinator of the anti-discrimination student movement, Dhaka University, Chittagong University, Jahangir Nagar University, Jagannath University, Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, Rajshahi University, Comilla University, Noakhali Science and Technology under the management of Barura Upazila Student Welfare Association. In the presence of students from various colleges and schools under the university, BRAC University and National University, the students submitted their nine-point demands to Barura Upazila Executive Officer Nyu Emong Marma Mong.

Amena Akhter Priya, 5.. Faria Azad, 6, former student of Dhaka University with Nausheen Sarania Sauda 1. Kamruzzaman Rimon, 2. Ferdous Rahman, 3. Gazi Obaidul Haque, 4. Yashin Mia and others.
Among the nine points of the students were 1. Quick Response Team will be formed.
2. Grievance cell will be constituted in every union.
3. A market monitoring team will be formed with the participation of upazila administration and student society.
4. A financial and welfare fund will be set up for the martyrs and injured in the anti-discrimination student movement. Besides, if any expatriate brother student movement of Barura faces any problem while expressing solidarity, he will be asked to provide full cooperation to him.
5. Initiatives will be taken to withdraw the case filed by the anti-discrimination student movement.
6. A monitoring team will be formed with the participation of upazila administration and student society to eliminate corruption and irregularities in all government offices of Barura, including upazila sub registrar office, hospital, election office, education system and contracting system.
7. A monitoring team will be formed with the participation of upazila administration and student society to eliminate corruption and irregularities in upazila parishad, municipal mayor’s office union parishad.
Barura Upazila Nirbahi Officer Nyu Mong Marma Mong said that he will discuss with the highest officials and work towards the implementation of 9 points.
