He is Life Member and Advisor of Barura Upazila Jankalyan Samiti, Dhaka, Patron of Barura Chhatra Kalyan Samiti, Dhaka, Honorary Vice Chairman of Board of Trustees of International Standard University, Honorary Chairman of Standard Group, Managing Director of The Civil Engineers, Former Chairman of Jamuna Bank, and Chotatulagaon. Founder of Mahila College. His village home is in Chhotulagao village of Barura upazila. Engineer Atiqur Rahman has been selected as CIP by the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh for his contribution to the large industry (service) sector. During the Corona period, he has received a lot of praise from the people of Barura by providing all kinds of support. The government has given CIP recognition to 44 businessmen of the country for making significant contributions to the economy including setting up industries in the private sector, producing goods, creating employment and increasing national income. They have been selected as CIP (Industrial) for the year 2021. Among them, 20 people have been selected as CIPs in the large industrial production category and 05 people in the large industrial service category. 10 people in medium industrial production category, 02 people in small industrial production category and 1 person in micro industry are kept in CIP selection list. Apart from this, in the declared year (2021), six businessmen who are responsible for various organizations of businessmen have also been given recognition of CIP. In this regard, the Ministry of Industry published the names of newly elected CIPs in the form of gazette on Monday. The published gazette said that the selected CIPs will be invited to the civic reception in all national functions of the country for the next one year. Apart from this, you will get priority seat reservation in government vehicles on air, rail, road and road during business travel and use of VIP lounge at the airport.
