Touhid Hossain Sarkar,Comilla: “We must vote ‘yes’ in the referendum. Only then will the thoughts and ideals of the July revolutionaries and martyrs be realized,” he said at various meetings.
Kazi Deen Mohammad is the nominated MP candidate of the eleven-party alliance for Comilla-6 (Adarsh ​​Sadar, Comilla Metropolitan, Sadar South and Cantonment areas) constituency.
On Sunday (February 1), as part of his election campaign with the symbol of scales, Comilla Adarsh ​​held a public meeting in Palpara area of ​​Amratli Union in Sadar Upazila.
A large number of people, including leaders of local social organizations, professionals, and party leaders and activists, participated in the public meeting that began at 6 pm. Later, at 7:30 pm, he participated in a courtyard meeting in the Bhubanghar area of ​​the same union.
Earlier, at 4 pm, Kazi Deen Mohammad spoke as the chief guest at an Islamic discussion and prayer gathering on the significance of the holy Shab-e-Barat, seeking forgiveness for the late parents of Md. Golam Farooq, the owner of Funka Industries Limited.
In his speech, he said, “Islam is not limited to prayer, fasting, Hajj and Zakat. Islam is a complete code of life. Allah Almighty gave Islam to solve all the problems of mankind. Islam and politics are not separate issues; society and the state will be run through Islam, if we want it.”
He recited a verse from the Holy Quran and said, “O you who believe, shall I inform you of a trade that will save you from the punishment of the Hereafter? That is to strive in the way of Allah with your lives and wealth.” Quoting another verse, he said, “O you who believe, do not die except as Muslims.”
Kazi Deen Mohammad also said that to build a humane and beautiful Bangladesh by ensuring the rights of mothers and sisters, we must vote ‘yes’ in the referendum. Only then will the thoughts and ideals of the martyrs of the July Revolution be realized. Finally, he offered a special prayer, seeking forgiveness for all the grave dwellers.
Maulana Abdul Qayyum Majumdar spoke at the event. He said, “Allah does not change the fate of any nation until they try to change their own fate.”
Also present were Nayeb Ameer Master Mosleuddin, Hafez Maulana Muhammad Nazmul Hasan Hafizahullah, Working Council Member Maulana Abdul Qayyum Majumder, Professor Zakir Hossain, Kashem Musalla Proprietor Abul Kashem, Funka Industries Proprietor Md. Golam Faruk, Amratli Union President Dr. Sirajul Islam, Comilla Metropolitan Working Council Member Professor Mofizul Islam Patwari and local leaders.
