Comilla’s Barura police station is working tirelessly under the direction of Superintendent of Police Comilla to suppress crime, arrest accused and maintain law and order. On Wednesday, June 14, a special operation was conducted in the area of Barura Police Station under the direction of the Officer-in-Charge of Barura Police Station, Md. Feroz Hossain, with the full cooperation of Police Inspector (Investigation) Md. Mir Rezaul Islam, accompanied by SI (retd.)/Ali Mortuza, ASI (retd.)/Md. Matiur Rahman and the force. During operation on the basis of secret information Peyara Begum (45), husband-Salim, mother-Tahera Begum, Sang-Galimpur, police station on 14/06/2023 at 03.30 pm on the west side adjacent to Sabuj’s house of Ward No. 11 Galimpur UP under Barura police station. – Barura, Distt.- Comilla 30 illegally cultivated cannabis plants (including stems and roots) each estimated to be 48” to 84” long respectively were arrested. Fugitive accused Sabuj (25), father-Selim, mother-Peara Begum, Sang-Galimpur, Thana-Barura, District-Comilla. The absconding accused Sabuj (25) has been buying narcotic marijuana plants (including stems and roots) from the arrested accused Peyara Begum (45) for a long time and has been selling narcotic drugs in connivance with each other. In the said incident, SI/Md Ali Mortuza of Barura Police Station filed a statement as the plaintiff, Barura Police Station Case No-14, Date- 14/06/2023 Eng, Section- 36(1) Table 18(a)/41 of Narcotics Control Act, 2018 done.
