Doctors have announced a complete shutdown across the country after stopping treatment at the hospital in protest of the beating of doctors in Dhaka Medical College.
On Sunday (September 1), hospital registrar (neurosurgery green unit) Abdul Ahad announced the program on behalf of the doctors of Dhaka Medical. He said, we are announcing strike program across the country.
Physicians’ claims include:
1/ All hospitals of the whole country should be provided with security forces including the army.
2/ Doctor and patient safety must be ensured.
3/ Separate health police should be appointed for the security of doctors.
