Bangladesh Awami League Publicity and Publication Secretary and former member of Parliament of Madaripur-3 Constituency Dr. On the news of the arrest of Abdus Sobhan Golap, common people distributed sweets in different places of Kalkini Upazila.
On Monday (August 26) morning, the sweets were distributed in several places, including North Ramzanpur of Golap’s native area of Kalkini.
It is known that Rose used to drive a taxi after going to America to earn a living. He also occasionally delivered pizzas for extra income. But Rose’s life changed in the presence of Sheikh Hasina. He became a big leader of the central Awami League without being involved in politics in the area. Beside him was former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s Special Assistant. Due to this, he has earned thousands of crores of rupees. In the 2018 parliamentary elections, he got a boat ticket for Madaripur-3 seat and became a member of parliament. Since then, his corruption has started to reach the sky. After the fall of the dictator Hasina, Golap was arrested yesterday and demanded appropriate punishment for him. Local freedom fighters also expressed doubts about his freedom fighter credentials.
Former Kalkini Upazila Freedom Fighters Commander Ah Jalil Akon said that some local freedom fighters testified that Golap was a freedom fighter during the selection of freedom fighters in 2017. It is in this context that he is included. But now I hear that those who testified were under the pressure of roses. If re-verification action is taken against Rose, we have no objection.
The local conscious said, Kalkini has many images of Rose corruption. We demand that the present government will ensure appropriate punishment for Rose.
It should be noted that yesterday Sunday evening from Nakhalpara area of the capital. Police arrested Abdus Sobhan Golap.
