Abdul Motaleb, Noakhali: The digital attendance system has been inaugurated at Noakhali University of Science and Technology (Novikrabhi). On Wednesday (November 12, 2025) at 10 am, the university’s Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. Muhammad Ismail, inaugurated the state-of-the-art attendance system installed in the administrative building.
At that time, the Vice Chancellor said, “In the case of attendance, we need everyone’s cooperation in the digital system we are going to. We want everyone to fulfill our responsibilities properly. We will introduce a reward system for those who ensure attendance at the office on time. If we have a record through digital attendance, then the best performance award will be given based on dedication and efficiency. We want to build a paperless workplace through transparency and digitalization of work. Currently, the issue of digitalization is taken into consideration in the ranking. How digital, paperless and green an institution is is very important in getting a good position in the rankings.

The Vice Chancellor also said, we have an opportunity to work more with D-documents. The more we can digitalize by reducing the use of files, the faster our work will go. We have no chance of falling behind. We have to take advantage of any modern technology. We initially started this activity in a few departments today. Later, it will be introduced in every department. I think that if everyone works together, this university will move forward in every field, including rankings.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by the university’s treasurer, Professor Dr. Mohammad Hanif Murad, NobiProbi Proctor AFM Arifur Rahman, Registrar (Acting) Mohammad Tamzid Hossain Chowdhury, teachers, officers and employees of various departments of NobiProbi.

It is to be noted that in this digital attendance system, which has been established on an experimental basis, the university’s Vice-Chancellor, Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Treasurer, personal branch of the Registrar’s Office, and officers and employees of the Examination Controller’s Office will provide office attendance digitally.
