Journalist of daily morning newspaper in Demra of the capital. Suhrawardy (43) was attacked by miscreants and robbed of cash. A case has been filed in Demra Police Station regarding the matter Demra Police Station Case No-17/10. In this incident. Anwar Hossain (28) and Md. Demra police station arrested two persons named Al Amin (27) and sent them to the court on Thursday, October 12 at 11:00 am. The incident took place on the ground floor of Monir’s house behind Chauddagram Tower in Mughal Nagar under Demra police station at around 10:30 pm on October 3. Meanwhile, the victim journalist Suhrawardy received first aid from the Dhaka Medical College Hospital and complained to the Demra police station against the five accused and unidentified 25/30 people at around 12 o’clock on Wednesday. The accused are – son of Idris Mia of Shefalipara village of Lakshipur Ramganj police station living in Moghalnagar area of Demrastha. Anwar Hossain (28), son of Barek living in the same area. Al-Amin (27), Rubel Mia (28), Saddam (22) and Sabbir Hossain Joy (20) residing in Matuail of Jatrabari police station. In this incident, when colleagues Nazmul Hasan (49) and AR Hanif (45) came forward to save Suhrawardy, they were also scared and locked in a room. Besides, the terrorists snatched about 3 thousand rupees from the victim. In this regard, Suhrawardy, the victim, said that on the day of the incident, the accused ambushed me in a house in front of Mogul Nagar Chauddagram Tower and ran away with 2750 rupees in cash. Demra police station’s OC investigation confirmed the matter. Faruk Molla said, after receiving the complaint, a case has been filed in Demra police station and the two accused have been arrested.
