Demonstration program and protest meeting in Barura

A protest program and protest meeting was held in Barura, Comilla, against the threat to kill Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. On Friday at 5 pm, at the initiative of the newly elected Vice President of Comilla District Awami League and Chairman of SQ Foundation, AZM Shafiuddin Shamim, in the organization of Barura Upazila’s Khosbas North Union, Khosbas District Union and Aganagar Union Awami League leaders and activists, Bangabandhu’s daughter, Hon’ble Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Rajshahi District BNP leader Abu Demonstration programs and protest meetings were held in Haripur Bazar to protest the death threats by Syed Chand and to demand immediate punishment. Earlier, a protest meeting was held at Haripur High School. Former president of Upazila Chhatra League Md. Farhad Hossain spoke as guests, ex-mayor of Barura Municipality Md. Bahadur Uzzaman Bahadur, chairman of Aganagar Union Parishad Md. Mazharul Islam Mithu, chairman of Jhlam Union Parishad Md. Nurul Islam, upazila women vice chairman Kamrun Nahar Shikha, reserved women of the municipality. Councilor Minuara Begum, Union Awami League leader Md Shah Imran Bhuiyan. Party leaders and activists of Awami League from different areas were present at the time.
