Daulatdia Paturia sea route, the gateway to South Bengal, after 51 consecutive hours, launched again on this sea route from Monday morning. It was seen that the passengers coming from the launch crossing felt relieved. Earlier, the relevant authorities had stopped the launch movement last Saturday to avoid accidents on this waterway due to the fear of the impact of cyclone Mokha.
BIWTA’s traffic inspector Md. Aftar Hossain. He said that in order to avoid accidents on the waterway, Daulatdia Paturia waterway was closed for 51 consecutive hours. During this time, the passengers coming from the launch crossing and the general passengers have crossed the river in different ferries. Currently 16 launches are plying on this route.
