Cox’s Bazar in arrested along with journalist named Sohel Yabas

Cox’s Bazar Narcotics Control Department (DNC) has arrested journalist and Bangabandhu Sainik League leader Sohel and his aide along with Yaba in Cox’s Bazar. Inspector Jiban Barua of Cox’s Bazar DNC confirmed that they were arrested last Wednesday (March 29) afternoon from Laldighi area of the city. The arrested persons are, Md Ali Hossain (50) son of deceased Chayed Noor of Paschim Amjakhali of Kutubdia Upazila and Kamrul Huda Sohail (38) alias Dim Sohail son of deceased Nurul Huda of Ali Akbar Dale 1st Ward. DNC Inspector Jiban Barua said that based on secret information, in front of Sonali Bank in Laldighi. Ali Hossain’s body was searched and 1000 pieces of Yaba pills were recovered. At that time, his drug partner Sohail was also arrested while trying to escape. After the legal process, the seized drugs will be sent to the court along with Yaba. Meanwhile, it has been found that the arrested Sohel Bangabandhu has been carrying on drug dealing for many days under the guise of a Sainik League leader and a district representative of a newspaper called Daily Swadhin Sanbad. He has been accused of smuggling yaba along with various leaders of the ruling party at various times. He is known to be one of the members of the Jamaat cadre Piaru drug syndicate who was arrested with 70,000 yaba at the Morichya check post last year.
