District Detective Police (DB) has arrested 12 active members of the inter-district thief gang in various places of Comilla. Meanwhile, 7 stolen CNG, 6 stolen autorickshaws and 2 motorcycles were recovered from them.
Superintendent of Police Abdul Mannan gave this information in a press conference at Comilla Police Superintendent’s office on Thursday afternoon.
In the press conference, the Superintendent of Police said that the unidentified CNG thief gang had come to Comilla city from Chauddagram Kashipur in the guise of a passenger. On the way, the gang sent the driver to the shop and fled with the CNG. A case was registered in the police station. Later, the DB Police conducted an operation to identify the gang of thieves and recover the stolen CNG. In continuation of this, 12 members including 16 stolen vehicles were arrested from different places of Comilla on Wednesday night.
Additional Superintendent of Police Nazmul Hasan, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of District Intelligence Police Rajesh Barua were present at the press conference.
