A case has been registered at the Sadar Model Police Station in connection with the killing of Ziaur Rahman (42) in a clash between two groups of people in Narayanpur Union, centered on the expansion of dominance in Chapainawabganj.
Miliara Begum (30), the wife of deceased Ziaur Rahman, filed the case at Sadar Model Police Station last Tuesday (April 25) night. In the statement of the case, the chairman of Charbagdanga Union Parishad of Sadar Upazila Shahid Rana Tipu has been named as 01 and member of Ward 09 of Narayanpur Union, Ruhul Amin as accused 02, and 45 people have been named. Another 40 unidentified people have been accused in this case.
Miliara Ezahar, the plaintiff in the murder case, said that the deceased Ziaur Rahman is the son of Kasimuddin of Chandranarayanpur village of Sundarpar Union. Accused Azizul Haque (broker) was cutting soil from her husband’s family land and selling it elsewhere. Last (April 17) 30 families complained to Chapainawabganj Sadar Upazila Executive Officer and Intelligence Department. Later, Azizul Haque (broker) became even more angry when he complained to the administration. And along with her husband started a deep conspiracy against them. Then the second day of last (April 23) Eid according to the plan of the defendants mentioned in the statement. Charbagdanga UP Chairman Shahid Rana Tipu and Narayanpur 09 ward member Ruhul Amin led the bomb attack around 3 pm. Explodes bombs to kill family members including her husband. Creates panic in the public mind. Meanwhile, Tipu Chairman kept saying kill whoever you find in front of you. As soon as the order was received, accused Ataur and Tipu himself threw bombs at their house. When the bomb exploded, the deceased Ziaur Rahman panicked and fled towards the back of the house when a bomb was thrown at him. The bomb blast sustained serious back injuries and he died before being taken to the District Headquarters Hospital.
In this regard, Chapainawabganj Sadar Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Sajjad Hossain said that Ziaur Rahman’s wife has filed a complaint as a plaintiff in the murder case. A case has been registered at the police station. The investigation is ongoing. Those concerned will be arrested. He said that the police operation is continuing in this incident.
