  A case has been filed against Mostafizur Rahman alias Tito Rahman and Nazmus Shakib for spreading rumors and false information on various online platforms including social media. Najmus Saqib is the son of Jalilul Azam of Sabuj Bagh area. Currently, Nazmus Shakib, who is living in the United States, introduced himself as the news editor of Nagarik TV. I demand their speedy arrest and trial.’ On the other hand, Sheikh Asif Hossain, general secretary of Rangpur Mahanagar Chhatra League, has filed another case on the same complaint in the same court. It is known that Mostafizur Rahman alias Tito Rahman introduced himself as the chief executive officer of a YouTube channel called Nagarik TV broadcast from Canada. Nazmus Saqib introduced himself as a message editor. They fled the country to Canada after being charged with various crimes including rape and fraud. He went there and got involved in the anti-national conspiracy. They started spreading rumors about the state, Bangabandhu, Prime Minister and other important people of the country on the online platform. Tito Rahman’s entire family is anti-independence. His grandfather was a 71-year-old assassin, his father was a swindler. And Mostafizur Rahman used to interact with BNP-Jamaat related people since his childhood. However, apart from the political identity, Mostafizur Rahman was known as a drug addict and oppressor of women in Dinajpur. Mostafizur Rahman was punished several times for eve teasing. State lawyer Ruhul Amin Talukdar said that a case has been filed against four persons in the Rangpur Cyber Tribunal Court for defaming the image of the country by insulting the Hon’ble Prime Minister along with his family, Obaidul Quader and the Law Minister on YouTube channel called Online Nagarik TV. He also said that the court has ordered the CID to investigate the case. Tushar Kanti Mondal, former General Secretary of Rangpur Metropolitan Awami League, the plaintiff in this case, said, ‘A case has been filed against four people under the Digital Security Act for creating militancy and damaging the image of the country by insulting the honorable Prime Minister and his family. I want them to be arrested and brought under the law as soon as possible.’ But he threatened to give a big program if not arrested. He also said, ‘I respect the court, the court has taken the case into consideration. A YouTuber has done a talk show by insulting the Honorable Prime Minister, has ruined the image of the country, that is why the case has been filed. He demanded the closure of these unauthorized online channels that are trying to destabilize the country by making false accusations.
