Dr. Nasir Uddin is a Professor of Electrical Engineering at Lakehead University, Canada. Dr. Nasir Uddin’s house is in Gohailbari village of Baliakandi upazila of Rajbari. His father’s name is Arshed Ali Mondal. Nasir is the second of four sisters and three brothers. He lives in Barrie, Ontario, Canada with his wife and only daughter.

It is known that this is the highest honor of the university as a teacher. A teacher’s years of excellence in teaching and innovative teaching experience, including leadership, are considered to be nominated as Best Teacher. On the basis of these qualifications, the senate committee on education of the university selects one teacher as the best teacher every year. In continuation of this, the best teacher in 2023 was selected as the professor of electrical and computer technology department. Md. Nasir Uddin.

According to family sources, Dr. Nasir Uddin graduated from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology Department of Electrical Engineering in 1993 with 2nd position in 1st class and obtained B.Sc Engineering degree. After that he joined the same department and taught for more than three years and later obtained his doctorate degree from Memorial University of Canada in 2000 with a Commonwealth scholarship.
As a social responsibility, he established a primary school in the village in 2011. Which is currently a government educational institution ‘Arshed-Sajeda Government Primary School’.
It should be noted that Dr. Nasir was recognized as Lakehead University’s Outstanding Researcher in 2011. He was also named an I,E,E,E Fellow, the highest honor in electrical engineering, in 2021 for his outstanding contribution to research on electric motors and society. IEEE is the International Association of Electrical Engineers, the world’s largest professional organization. Previously, Dr. on the electric motor.
