Body recovered 28 hours after disappearance

Rajbari’s Pangsha boat sank last Monday around nine o’clock. A farmer named Abdul Quddus (60) went missing. Abdul Quddus is the son of late Wazir Mandal of Ganganandiya village of Habaspur union of upazila.

After a long 28-hour search, his body was recovered floating in the water of Padma river in Shamimpur today by the diving team along with Pangsha Fire Service.

Upazila Fire Service and Civil Defense Officer Royal Ahmed said, “We came to the scene as soon as we got the news yesterday and started the rescue work with the diving team after 10 o’clock. Today after 28 hours we recovered the body of Abdul Quddus floating in the water of Padma river in Shamimpur. After the rescue, the body was handed over to the family with the help of local members.
