Body of a school girl studying in 7th grade was recovered in Rajapur of Jhalkathi

Police recovered the body of a 7th standard schoolgirl named Rabina Akhtar (13) in Rajapur of Jhalkathi. His body was recovered from Kathipara area of ā€‹ā€‹Shuktagarh union of the upazila on Friday (April 7) evening. Rabina is the daughter of Manju Khan of that village and a seventh standard student of Rajapur Pilot Government Girls High School.
According to local and police sources, Sabana Begum, the mother of the deceased Rabina Akhtar, asked Rabina to fetch wood from the loft of their two-storey wooden house. After some time, Sabana Begum came to the house and called Rabina. She went up to the loft and saw Rabina hanging with madam and shouted. At that time, the locals along with the victim’s mother rescued her and took her to the Rajapur Upazila Health Complex where the doctor on duty declared Rabina dead.
Rajapur police station SI Sanjeev Kumar Pahlan said that Rabina’s body was recovered from the upazila health complex and brought to the police station. Preparations are underway to send the body to Jhalkathi Sadar Hospital morgue for post-mortem. Besides, a case of wrongful death has been registered at Rajapur police station.
