The families of 5 students who participated in the anti-discrimination student movement were shot dead by Awami League leaders and activists in Mohipal, Feni on August 4, on behalf of the executive member of the BNP Central Committee, Abdul Latif Jani.

On Saturday (August 17) morning, Daganbhuyan upazila Zayalskar union’s deceased Sarwar Jahan visited the grave of Masud and paid the donation to his father. After that, Feni Sadar visited the graves of deceased Wakil Ahmed Shihab of Panchgachia area, Ah Gani Borhan of Sonagazir Sadar Union, Zakir Hossain Shakib of Kathirhat Mandari and Mahmudul Hasan of Charchandia and spoke to the family members and provided financial support from their own funds on behalf of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party.
At this time, Abdul Latif Johnny said, the student society has ended the dictatorship for almost one and a half centuries. In exchange for their sacrifice, Bangladesh became free from dictatorship.
The responsibility of those who have been killed so far cannot be held by the former dictator. He called for the punishment of those involved in the worst murder in the history of Bangladesh
