BNP hunger strike in Tangail demanding Khaleda Zia’s release

BNP Chairperson held a hunger strike in Tangail as part of the central program aimed at the release of former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia, sent abroad for better treatment, dissolution of parliament and implementation of 1-point demand. The hunger strike program was held on Saturday (October 14) from morning to 1 pm at Beparipara Eidgaon ground premises of the city. District BNP President Hasanuzzamil Shaheen, General Secretary Advocate Farhad Iqbal and others spoke on the occasion. Later Tangail District Bar Association President Advocate Maidul Islam Shishir, Nationalist Lawyers Forum Convener Faizur Rahman Faiz, District Bar Association Former President Advocate Shafiqul Islam Ripon broke the hunger strike by drinking water. District BNP former vice-president Ataur Rahman Jinnah, BNP leader Abul Kashem, Qazi Shafiqur Rahman Liton, district Sramik Dal general secretary AKM Monirul Haque Monir, district Jubo Dal convener Khandkar Rashedul Alam Rashed, member secretary Tauhidul Islam Babu, district volunteer president Tarikul were present in the hunger strike. Islam Jhalak, District Mahila Dal President Nilufar Yasmin, General Secretary Advocate Roxy Mehdi, Sadar Upazila BNP President Azgar Ali, General Secretary Abdur Rauf, Senior Joint Secretary Azim Uddin Biplab, City BNP Mehdi Hasan Alim, General Secretary Ejazul Haque Sabuj, District Chhatra Dal President Durjoy Hor. Shubo, member secretary MA Baten, president-editor of various upazilas and leaders of all levels of allied organizations.
