A discussion meeting and membership form distribution ceremony was held at the initiative of Pirojpur Municipality BNP to engage the public in the 31-point agenda announced by BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman. The meeting was organized by Ward No. 8 BNP of the municipality on Sunday (October 19) at the Dakshin Krishnanagar Eidgah ground.

BNP Executive Committee member Principal Alamgir Hossain spoke as the chief guest at the event.

The special guests who spoke were former member of the district BNP convening committee Ed. Abul Kalam Akon, district Sramik Dal president Abdus Salam Baten, municipal BNP president Shahidullah Shahid, general secretary Sarwar Hossain Howlader, organizing secretary Touhidul Islam, former president of the district Jubo Dal Mizanur Rahman Shahin, former general secretary of Ward No. 8 Jubo Dal Sirajul Islam, etc. A large number of leaders and workers of Ward No. 8, including local leaders, were present at the event.

Speakers at the event called for working together to restore democracy in the country and establish the rights of the people by implementing the 31-point plan announced under the leadership of Tarique Rahman.

Speakers at the meeting said that BNP is the people’s party – this party has always been agitating to protect the people’s votes and rights. They also said that every BNP worker must organize and participate in the movement to restore democracy.

The event was presided over by Ward 8 BNP President Md. Alauddin Chan and moderated by Ward 8 BNP General Secretary Md. Belayet Akon.
