The Trishal-Fulbaria road adjacent to the Dhaka-Mymensingh highway has become impassable. For 12 years, lakhs of people of the two upazilas are suffering daily. Even for a long time, there is no development of the road and this busiest road becomes lonely in the mud. As a result, the people of Trishal and Phulbaria upazilas are suffering. Due to the lack of reforms, the road becomes impassable as the days go by. Local residents formed a human chain from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM on Thursday to demand reforms. At one point, the people who participated in the human chain got excited and blocked the road for about one and a half hours at a place called Bailor on the Dhaka-Mymensingh highway. Thousands of vehicles got stuck in this. Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Trishal Police Station. Main Uddin said that thousands of ordinary people of two upazilas blocked the highway to demand road reform. Even if the work was not done by the police, the people moved away from the highway when they assured the common people that they would talk to the relevant authorities for road reform. Traffic is normal now. OC Main Uddin gave a speech to the people present assuring the restoration of the road. Since there is a campaign in the area, he kept his promise and believed that the road would be repaired as soon as possible, so the people withdrew the blockade.
