He was arrested with ganja from Paikpara Hatkhola village of upazila on Wednesday morning, July 10. Arrested Md. Yusuf Ali (60) is the son of Muskat Ali of Hatkhola village, Paschimpara, Paikpara upazila.
Assistant Director of Brahmanbaria Narcotics Control Department. Mizanur Rahman confirmed the truth of the incident. He said that early in the morning, on the basis of secret information, a raid was conducted at Yusuf Ali’s house in Paikpara Paschimpara Hatkhola village of the upazila and he was arrested. After searching his residence, 60 kg of ganja was recovered.
He also said that two drug dealers named Noor Islam and Lokman Khan fled after realizing the presence of the people of the Narcotics Control Department during the operation. Attempts to arrest them are ongoing. A case has been registered against them at bijaynagar police station.
