The budget of Comilla’s Barura Municipality for the financial year 2023-24 has been announced. The proposed budget of Barura Municipality for the financial year 2023-24 is Rs 42 crore 10 thousand 856 without any new taxes and increase. The cost has been estimated at 39 crore 88 lakh 36 thousand 3 taka. Barura Municipality Mayor Md. Baktar Hossain Bakhtiar at the Barura Municipal Auditorium on Thursday, June 15 at noon. Barura Municipal Executive Officer Md. Mohsinur Rahman Khan addressed the budget session, Barura Bazar Traders Committee General Secretary and Municipal Panel Mayor Md. Shahjahan, Barura Bazar Textile Traders Association General Secretary Md. Aktar Hossain, Barura Bazar Prominent Traders and Jewelery Owners Association President Md. Abul Kalam Azad, Joint General Secretary of Barura Bazar Grocery and Rice Traders Association Md. Borhan Uddin, President of Barura Upazila Press Club and representative journalist of daily Zayzaidin newspaper Md. Masud Majumdar, General Secretary and representative journalist of Daily Titla Md. Ikramul Haque, President of Barura Press Club Md. Abul Hashem, Md. Mizanur Rahman, Accounting Officer of Barura Municipality. Deputy President of Upazila Press Club Daily Rupsi Bangla Correspondent Journalist Md. Jahangir Alam, Publicity Editor Journalist Md. Sharif Uddin, President of Barura Bazar Textile Traders Association Md. Jahangir Hossain, Owner of Barura German Hotel and Restaurant Md. Abul Kasem were present. In the budget, the revenue income is proposed to be 11 crore 50 lakh 4 thousand 366 rupees. Government grant 28 crore 53 lakh 20 thousand taka, preliminary estimate, 1 crore 96 lakh 86 thousand 490 taka. In addition, the revenue expenditure in the expenditure sector has been estimated at 11 crore 12 lakh 56 thousand 3 rupees. The total development cost is 28 crore 75 lakh 80 thousand taka. 2 crores 11 lakhs 74 thousand 853 takas have been found after completion. Barura Municipality Mayor Md. Baktar Hossain termed this budget as public welfare oriented and said that if this budget is implemented, Barura Municipality will be developed as a modern municipality. Apart from this, Barura municipality is working tirelessly to provide quality education and traffic congestion.
