UNO Sabrina Afrin Mustafa held a press briefing on the occasion of handover of land and houses to the landless and homeless families by Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in Barura, Comilla. On the occasion of the centenary of the birth of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the house for the landless and homeless people built in the third and fourth phase of the Asryan Project-2 in Barura Upazila tomorrow on March 22 through a video conference. On March 21 at 4 pm, Barura Upazila Executive Officer Sabrina Afrin Mustafa held a press briefing with journalists at the Barura Upazila Parishad Auditorium. Barura Assistant Commissioner (Land) Md. Mehedi Hasan, Upazila Women Vice Chairman Kamrun Nahar Shikha were present at the time. He told the journalist that in the past, 25 houses in the first phase, 138 in the second phase, 104 in the third phase, and a total of 267 houses for the landless and homeless people with the 2nd century land settlement documents. is given He also said that by constructing barracks on khas land, a single house has been constructed with 2 percent khas land settlement. Each house will have two bedrooms, a kitchen, a toilet and a balcony. Besides, every 10 families have a deep tubewell system for drinking water. He also said that priority has been given to beggars, disabled, widows, husband deserters, and elderly people in this big event. Barura Upazila Executive Officer Sabrina Afrin Mustafa said Mujib year is an extraordinary event. This is the first and only event in the world. I do not know the precedent of making so many houses together without money. Through this project Mother of Humanity set a precedent in the whole world. There are two benefits here. Government land has been freed from illegal encroachments and government land is being used for public welfare.
