A protest meeting was held in Comilla’s Barura on September 25 to protest against the news published in Aparadh bichitra. This protest meeting was held at 10 am on Saturday, October 14th at Barura upazila’s Jordpukuriya, organized by 19 families and Jordpukuriya residents, organized by Bazlur Rahman and Sumon, and attended by a large number of local residents. The meeting was attended by Md. Mizanur Rahman, Headmaster of Jorpukuria High School, Md. Jamal Hossain, Member of Galimpur Union Parishad, Md. Faiz Ullah, Superintendent of Jhapua-Ashwadia Dakhil Madrasa and other important people of the area. The accused 19 families are burdened with numerous cases, they are being harassed with false cases in numerous places including judicial court, police station, chairman’s office. The incident in which the reporter of Crime Bichitra has been served misleading news with wrong and false information is completely false and fabricated, along with this incident honorable MP of Comilla 08 (Barura) Naschimul Alam Chowdhury Nazrul Mohday, Barura police station officer in charge Md Firoz Hossain, None of us including local UP chairman Lion Rabiul Alam and UP member Md Jamal Hossain are involved in this incident. He also said that the accused have occupied 200 acres of land belonging to three families of Jorpukuria area Abdur Rahman Gong, also there is a land dispute with 7 families of Kabir Hossain, Kamal Hossain, Jamal Hossain Sohag Hossain, Saddam Hossain, Ershad Hossain of the same area. Apart from this, Habibul Haque, Rezaul Haque, Kefayet Ullah, Chalamat Ullah, Tajul Islam, Nurul Islam, Saiful Islam, Fakrul Islam, Masud and his wife, Moklechur Rahman, Sahidur Rahman, Abul Basar, Abul Kashem and Saheda Khatun, Tahmina and Idris Mollah. Due to this cycle, the case has been attacked. At this time, Tajul Islam appealed to the administration to reveal the true facts subject to investigation. On this day, after the protest meeting, the victim’s family members and local residents held a protest march.
