A colorful procession, discussion, meeting and cultural program was held on the occasion of International Women’s Day celebration in Barura, Comilla. Upazila Administration and Upazila Women’s Affairs Department on Wednesday 8th March in the Upazila Parishad Auditorium in the light of the theme that digital technology and innovation will eliminate gender discrimination in the program organized under the chairmanship of Barura Upazila Women’s Affairs Officer Afroza Begum was the Chief Guest Upazila Executive Officer Acting Md. Mehdi Hasan.
Upazila Agriculture Officer Md Nazrul Islam, President of Upazila Press Club and Barura Correspondent Journalist of daily Jayzaydin newspaper Md Masud Majumdar, assistant teacher ICT Ambassador of Ekbaria Hafiz Ahmed High School and Rubaiya Sultana who received Joyta award in 2022, spoke as guests under the direction of female entrepreneur Shakila Zaman.
Shahjadi Rajmoni is a student of Barura Government Girls High School. Assistant Professor of Adda Degree College Abdul Mannan, Assistant Professor MD Parvez Mian, General Secretary of Upazila Press Club and Representative Journalist of Daily Titla Md. Ikramul Haque, Gender Promoter Journalist of Barura Upazila Kishore Kishori Club Establishment Project Md. Sharif Uddin, Hridoy Bhowmik, Payar Ahmed were present. Johnny, including women entrepreneurs from different areas and school students were present. On this day, 4 women entrepreneurs were given a memorial.

At the end, a wonderful cultural program was performed by the students of Barura Municipality Kishore Kishori Club.
