The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced a 15-member squad for the Test series in Pakistan. Nazmule Hossain will lead the team, Shakib Al Hasan is also calm.
Shakib was a Member of Parliament during the previous government. After the fall of the Hasina government, there were rumors about whether he would be able to play in the national team. Amidst that rumor, Shakib made it to the Pakistan tour team.
7 specialist batsmen (including wicketkeeper Liton Das) in the 15-man squad. The two all-rounders are Shakib Al Hasan and Mehdi Hasan Miraj. There are four pace bowlers – Shariful Islam, Khaled Ahmed, Hasan Mahmud and Nahid Rana. The two specialist spinners are Naeem Hasan and Taijul Islam.
Tomorrow (August 12) the Bangladesh team will leave the country for Pakistan. Two matches of the ICC World Test Championship will be held in Rawalpindi and Karachi. The first Test of the series starts from 21 August, the second Test from 30 August.
The Bangladesh team will assemble in Lahore and practice at the Gaddafi Stadium from August 14 to 16.
