Bangladesh Journalists Unity Council (BJUC) organized a discussion on the significance of Independence Day and the current government’s plans and an Eid Purnamilani at the Rooftop Hall of Central Inn Rahmania.
The program was inaugurated by Sabbir Ahmed Rony, founding chairman of BJUC and advisory editor of Dainik Swadesh Bichitra. The program was presided over by BJUC executive president Raju Alim and was attended by BJUC advisor Alhaj Mohammad Bashiruzzaman Khan, who was the chief guest.
The special guests at the event were Television Journalists Association of Bangladesh Secretary General Kabi Ashok Dhar, Bangladesh Editors Forum Secretary General Omar Faruk Jalal, BBN News Chairman Shafiqur Rahman, Weekly Economics Time Special Correspondent Sheikh Fariduzzaman, The Country Today Sub-Editor and Himalaya Group Chairman Mohammad Mizanur Rahman, Media Journalists Forum of Bangladesh President Sayeed Mahmud and others.
Present at the event were BJUC Senior Vice-Chairman Rajibul Islam, Vice-Chairman Mizanur Rahman Mizan, Joint Secretary General Lion Khan Akhteruzzaman, Organizing Secretary Khorshed Alam Simanto, Publicity Secretary Md. Jamal Hossain Alam, Office Secretary Shahabuddin Masud, Human Rights Secretary Rafiqul Islam Jewel, Religious Affairs Secretary Abdur Haque, Public Relations Secretary Ziauddin Didar, Executive Member Md. Moinuddin Ujjwal and others.
It is noteworthy that Mizanur Rahman Mizan (Mizan Pradhan) has been elected as the general secretary of the Bangladesh Journalist Unity Council (BJUC), Rajibul Islam as the finance secretary, and Ziauddin Didar as the public relations secretary until the next general meeting of the organization.
