Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s 104th birth anniversary and National Children’s Day were celebrated at Galachipa in Patuakhali.

On March 17, around nine o’clock in the morning, various government and non-government organizations, teachers, students, imams, and Sudhisamaj freedom fighters paid tribute to the mural of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at Galachipa Zilla Parishad Chatter by placing wreaths.

Upazila Executive Officer Md. Mohiuddin Al Helal was present as the chief guest. Upazila Assistant Commissioner Bhumi Md. Nashim Reza, Thana Officer In-charge Md. Ferdous Alam Khan, Upazila Engineer Md. Jahangir Alam, Upazila Awami League President-in-Charge Haji Mojibur Rahman, Acting General Secretary Sardar M. were not special guests. Shah Alam, Agricultural Extension Officer Md. Akramuzzaman, heroic freedom fighter Shamsuddin Shanu Dhali, heroic freedom fighter and Awami League leader Rezaul Karim, upazila rural development officer Md. Mahbub Hasan Shibli, press club president Mu Khalid Hossain Milton presided over the meeting. Also present are the chairman of various union councils, heads of various educational institutions and students of various schools and madrasas along with officials and employees of various government and private institutions.

Later, a special discussion competition was held on the occasion of Bangabandhu’s birth anniversary and National Children’s Day in the Upazila Parishad meeting hall room with the participation of various social groups, government and non-government officials, teachers, students. Rural development officer Ahsan Habib Shibli conducted the entire program.
