Awami League nominated mayoral candidate Talukdar Abdul Khalek has submitted his nomination papers for the upcoming Khulna City Corporation (KCC) elections. Tuesday (May 16) at around 10:30 a.m. Khulna District Election Office Returning Officer Md. He submitted this nomination to Alauddin. Khulna Chamber of Commerce and Industries President Kazi Aminul Haque, Khulna Metropolitan Awami League General Secretary MDA Babul Rana and Khulna District Awami League General Secretary Advocate Sujit Adhikari were present during the submission of nomination papers. Today is the last day to collect and submit nomination papers for Khulna City Corporation elections. Meanwhile, as of Monday (May 15), 8 candidates have collected nomination papers for the post of mayor, 188 candidates for councilor posts in 31 wards and 40 candidates for 10 reserved wards. According to the KCC election schedule, the nomination papers will be scrutinized on May 18. The last day for withdrawal of candidature is May 25, the symbol allotment is on May 26 and the voting will be held on June 12.
