A written complaint has been lodged at the Sonaimuri police station after the people of Bhumi Kheko Elahi Bakse attacked and seriously injured a girl named Noor Nahar (16) due to a land dispute in Rashidpur village of Bajra UP, Sonaimuri, Noakhali. The victim’s family, according to local sources of inquiry, after the death of deceased Abdur Rahim of Rashidpur Mujibul Haq Munsi house, the house occupied by his widow Manija Khatun, Kheko Elahi Baks and his family members have been using the local influential circles for a long time to take possession of the land of the same house. 9 August’23 on Wednesday around 10 o’clock in the morning, Monija Khatun, the wife of deceased Abdul Rahim, was not at home, Elahi Baks, Babu and Rupali attacked and vandalized the residence of widow Monija Khatun. As she protested the vandalism, Monija Khatun’s widowed daughter Najma (40) After beating and seriously injuring his granddaughter Noor Nahar (16), the locals rescued the mother and daughter and admitted them to Sonaimuri Upazila Health Complex. The victim is undergoing treatment at the hospital. Local 1st Ward Member Mohiuddin said, the family is extremely poor. I have received various government assistance through the local chairman. And I have arranged the tin of the house. They live with that tin. It is not understandable why Baks Ali and his family members have caused this incident. In this regard, Monija Khatun filed a written complaint against Elahi Baks, Babu and others involved in the incident at Sonaimuri police station. Officer-in-charge of Sonaimuri police station Md. Ziaul Haque said that the police station has received a written complaint about the incident. Legal action will be taken after investigation.
