The Secretary-General of the University Grants Committee (UGC), Professor James Tang, and representatives of eight UGC-funded universities from Hong Kong visited Bangkok to attend the Asia-Pacific Association for International Education (APAIE) Conference from 13 to 17 March 2023. The Bangkok ETO joined the delegation in the “Study in Hong Kong” pavilion at the APAIE in the Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre on 14 March. The exhibition provides a platform to introduce universities in Hong Kong and attract more overseas students to study in Hong Kong. On 15 March, the delegation called on Dr Khunying Kalaya Sophonpanich, Deputy Minister of Education, Thailand, to exchange views and suggestions on issues of mutual concern. According to Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2023 and Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings 2023, five tertiary institutions in Hong Kong are among the world’s top 100 universities.Please visit the Hong Kong pavilion to learn more about higher education of Hong Kong.
