The police arrested a robber with weapons while preparing to rob a paved road in the Bajra UP area of Noakhali-Sonaimuri highway. They were arrested while committing a robbery with weapons in the south of the bridge adjacent to Barahinagar Mistry Bari of Bajra UP on Saturday (October 14th) morning.
The arrested are Md. Elias Hossain Prakash Sohag (35), son of deceased Badiuzzaman of Mirwarispur village of Pashwaarti Begamganj upazila. Md. Rashed (25), son of deceased Abduch Sattar of the same village, 3. Md. Saddam (28), son of Abul Khair, 4. Nurul Amin Morsheder of Ganipur village. Son of Md. Tanim (22), 5. Abdur Rahim Prakash Arfan (24), son of deceased Abul Khair of Sharifpur village, 6. Md. Suman (26), son of Md. Firoz Mia of Thanadhin Taratia village, Dewannagar, Jamalpur district, 7. Md. Akser of Thanadhin Jalechchar village of the same police station. Son Md Khokon (22), 8. Md Alamin (27), son of deceased Siraj Mia of Trishal Thanadhin Babupur village of Mymensingh district, was arrested while preparing for the robbery. During this time, 2 pipe guns, hammer with wooden handle, 2 kiriches with domestic iron handle, 3 rounds of brass cartridges which were recovered from them. There are 12 texts in English. One android and 2 button mobiles were recovered and 6 autorickshaws were seized.
Officer-in-charge (OC) of Sonaimuri police station, Md. Bakhtiar Uddin Chowdhury said, based on secret information, SI Bachir Uddin of the police station immediately conducted an operation with the joint force and arrested 8 members of the inter-district dacoity group during the preparation of the robbery organization. The auto-rickshaw was seized. In this regard, the arrested robbers have been handed over to the learned court along with a regular case filed at Sonaimuri police station.
