Anti-ragging rally held at IU

The authorities of Islamic University in Kushtia on Sunday held an anti-ragging rally on the campus. The rally was brought out around 10:30 am from in front of the universityā€™s administrative building, led by IU Vice-Chancellor Professor Shaikh Abdus Salam. The rally ended in front of the universityā€™s ā€˜Mrittunjoyee Mujibā€™ mural after parading the main streets of the campus. Later, a discussion programme was held there.Professor M Shahadat Hossain Azad, convener of the anti-ragging execution committee presided over the programme while pro-vice-chancellor Professor M Mahbubur Rahman, treasurer Professor M Alamgir Hossain Bhuiya and acting registrar HM Ali Hasan were present. IUTA vice president Professor Paresh Chandra Barman, secretary Tapan Kumar Gooder, Shapla Forum secretary Professor Mahbubar Rahman and Law department chairman Professor Reba Mondol attended the programme, among others. Speakers, at the discussion, urged the whole teachers and students to come forward for rooting out ragging and ensure a students-friendly campus for all.
