 One patient died due to wrong treatment in Tangail. On September 9, Saturday afternoon, the death occurred at the Sonia Nasing home in the new bus stand area of the city. The deceased patient’s name is Manoranjan Das (45). He is the son of Chora Das of Pirojpur village of Atia union of Delduar upazila. It is reported that Manoranjan Das was suffering from fever for the last 4 days. Brought to Tangail General Hospital for treatment on Saturday morning. There, through a broker, Sonia was admitted to Nasing Home for better treatment. ECG and diabetes test are done as per rules. When the patient’s breathing difficulty increased, the resident doctor on duty Md. Monirul Islam gave the patient an injection shock. Immediately after giving the injection shock, the patient’s breathing increased and the condition worsened. Later, the doctor took the patient to the room for X-ray, where he died. The patient’s brother-in-law Brindhavan and nephew Jai Das said that the deceased Manoranjan was first admitted to Tangail General Hospital. As the doctor was late in coming there, Sonia was taken to Nasing Home by a broker. After his death, the doctor wrote a referral in Dhaka on his prescription.
They also said that his sister-in-law died due to the wrong treatment of medical officer Monirul Islam. When they protested, the nursing home staff attacked them. They want a fair trial of this incident. Sonia Nursing Home manager Babul Sarkar said that the patient’s blood pressure decreased due to fever for the last four days. He died instantly. There are deaths due to wrong treatment, it is not right. Dr. Monirul Islam, Medical Officer of Sonia Nursing Home, said that the patient was brought to the clinic in a coma. As the patient’s pressure decreased, we referred him to Dhaka. What should I do if I die after referral.
