Ā In addition to playing a role in the health sector, the NGO called “Hope Foundation” in Cox’s Bazar is at the top level of corruption. Such terrible information has come out while investigating about the organization. This organization started working extensively in Cox’s Bazar district since the arrival of Rohingyas in the last 7 years. There are allegations of misappropriation of donations received from foreign donor groups by building hospitals based in Rohingya camps. Along with expanding the scope of the organization, top local officials started looting in the name of recruitment trade, buying medicines and other goods. As the country director of the organization Zahiduzzaman’s house is in Sirajganj, people from that area were recruited in different areas of the organization. However, the official notification directly mentioned that local people should be appointed on the basis of priority in the area including the Rohingya camp. The country director of the organization Zahiduzzaman is not paying any attention to these things and pointing the finger at the state directives, he is recruiting people from his own area, Sirajganj. In this recruitment process, his work was not left out. Low level posts of local people showing jobs and high level posts of people from Sirajganj on AC room chairs. It is clear that there is a scene of taking huge sums of money in the recruitment of these people from other regions as well. Allegations have also been made against this official that if the locals raised questions about this, he would be fired from his job and threatened with various threats. According to reliable sources, the members of Zahiduzzaman’s own syndicate include Hope Foundation nanny, accountant and even senior officials and employees. With the help of this syndicate consisting of his trusted employees, he has been embezzling millions of rupees in the name of recruitment trade, purchase of medicines and goods. Although medicines are supposed to be given free in Madhurchhara hospital, patients do not get enough medicines and buy them from outside. The question of conscious people is, why there are so many medicine bill vouchers in Madhurchhara Hospital if there is no medicine in the hospital. The most important thing is that with the help of Arif, the chief officer of the accounting department of Hope Foundation, instead of giving 3/4 months salary allowance to the employees working in the organization, they are embezzling a dividend of that money from the bank and depositing it in the bank. Not only that, the country director of the organization and his followers have been accused of embezzling half of the salary of the NGO employees and not paying the employees of the huge amount of donation money given by the donor organization UNFP. Fake bills, vouchers, There are allegations of gross corruption in each case, including the employee’s salary documents. According to the complaint, an employee with a salary of Tk 35 thousand was paid Tk 20 thousand and a salary slip of Tk 35 thousand was shown to the donor organization in his name. Not only this, all activities of Hope Foundation are being controlled by its entire syndicate group. There are also allegations of corruption related to the purchase of company goods against this official. He does not give discount in the purchase of goods of one taka except for his own employees. In the case of Hope Foundation’s purchase of goods, he does not buy any goods from any company except BLBE MART, a dedicated Dhaka-based company. Complaints have been received that he buys very low-quality goods from this company through a hefty commission. Meanwhile, the government and various foreign Although half of the money given by the donor organization is supposed to be given to the host community, the organization has not given a single rupee to the local people in extreme disaster. On the other hand, by showing full respect for these policies of the government, a high-quality private property called Fistula Center with mother and child hospital has been built in Chainda, Cox’s Bazar with this money. Although it is supposed to provide free medical services, huge amount of money is being taken from the patients for each treatment. Zahiduzzaman, country director of Hope Foundation, said that these are conspiracies against me. I have been successful in this organization for 5 years and someone is spreading confusion against me with these false information. He also said that the fistula center in Cox’s Bazar chain is not funded by the donor organization of Hope Foundation, it is completely owned by individuals. There, money is taken from the patients according to their means.
