After its success in multiplexes on Eid-ul-Fitr, the film has been released in various countries. The film has received a great response there too. It has set many revenue records. This time, the much-discussed film ‘Dum’ is going to be released on single screens across the country. SVF Alpha I and Charki have confirmed that the film will be screened simultaneously in more than fifty theaters in the country from April 24.
Initially, the film was released only in multiplexes to avoid piracy. The production company said that considering the interest and expectations of the audience, the decision has been taken to release it on a large scale this time.
Managing Director of SVF Alpha I Shahriar Shakil said, ‘This film, made with international quality visuals and based on true events, will be a new experience for the audience. The work of making new posters and sending them to theaters is already in its final stages.’
The star-studded film will be screened in various theaters in Dhaka and the country, including Madhumita, Shyamoli, Sena Auditorium, Shapla, Chhayaban, Rupkotha, Abhiruchi, Barsha, Nandita, and Manihar.
The film stars Afran Nisho, Pooja Cherry, Chanchal Chowdhury, Abul Hayat, Dolly Zahur, and Zahid Hasan. Afran Nisho’s performance in the central role has been praised by the audience.
Nisho said, “Dum is not just a movie, it is a story of courage and struggle. The love of the audience is inspiring us.”
The film has also been released outside the country in Australia, the United States, and Canada. The number of theaters in North America has increased from 7 to 50 in a week, which is a testament to the film’s popularity.
Syed Ahmed Shawki, Al-Amin Hasan Nirjhor, Saifullah Riyad and Rabiul Alam Robi were involved in the story and screenplay of this movie, made with the tagline ‘Until the Last Breath’.
