Lalmonirhat’s Aditmari Upazila, Tara Mia (46), a migrant’s husband, was allegedly killed by slitting his throat.   On Saturday (August 31) at noon, the police recovered the bloody body from the yard of his house and sent it to the Lalmonirhat Sadar Hospital morgue.
Deceased Tara is the son of deceased Ahmed Ali of Richbag Tipper Bazar area of ​​Sarpukur Union of Miya Upazila.  His wife is a resident of Qatar.
Police and locals said the wife was staying in Kartar and the only child at the residential madrasa for education.  Because of that, they lived alone at home.
On Friday night too, he went to his home after chatting with many people in the chatal of the local tip market and playing cards.  After hearing no response from him on Saturday morning, the locals went to his house at around 11 am and informed the police after seeing the bloodied body with his throat cut in the yard.
The police recovered Mia’s bloody body with her throat cut and sent it to Lalmonirhat Sadar Hospital morgue.
Locals believe that unknown miscreants killed him by slitting his throat for money or wealth and escaped.  However, locals believe that gamblers who participate in card games at night can provide information about this.
Aditmari Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mahmud Un Nabi said the body is being sent to the morgue.  It’s a murder.  We are investigating various matters to identify the killers.
